Perfect Structure Lodge is a friendly London Lodge originally formed by members of the “Institution of Structural Engineers” but now welcomes membership from a wide range of different industries and backgrounds including IT and Telecommucations engineering and management, ex-armed forces and police to name but a few. We of course still have members who are Structural Engineers!
We pride ourselves on being a friendly and a relaxed Lodge that welcomes input into our meetings from all members and guests.
We meet in Freemason’s Hall in Convent Garden which has a museum, library, café, bar and shop and is the Headquarters of our national governing body the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) as well as our regional governing body, the Metropolitan Grand Lodge.
We meet four times a year on Friday evenings. The meetings are followed by a dinner known as the “Festive Board” held at a local restaurant.
We work Emulation Ritual and hold rehearsals online leading up to meetings with a full rehearsal immediately prior to each meeting.
The low frequency of meetings coupled with online rehearsals suits the time demands on our membership with many members living outside of London. This is in contrast to Lodges which hold more regular meetings as well as physically attended Lodges of Instruction, which some people can find very time demanding and difficult to balance their Masonic commitments and personal and work life.
The Lodge was founded in 1925 by a leading group of professional members of the Institution of Structural Engineers. It continued as such until the early 1960s when other associated trades were also welcomed into the Lodge.
We are currently working on a more detailed history of the Lodge as part of our upcoming centenary celebrations and we will publish it here in the near future
